Ten Reasons to Vote for the Dippin Dots DIVI Vending Machine

Chapco, inc., manufacturer of the DIVI Dippin’ Dots Vending Machine has been nominated in the “Coolest things made in Connecticut” Competition for 2026 and we hope you’ll vote for US!

If you don’t know about the Coolest things Made in Connecticut Competition, it is a Sweet 16 Style Competition and in the first round we are paired against the Waterbury Button Company’s Santas Lost Button. Every week or so one product is eliminated until the winner is announced on October 1st, the start of Manufacturing Month.

If we get through our first bracket, we will meet a tube of toothpaste or a satellite bearing! In 2024, the competition was won by the Virginia Class Submarine, manufactured by Electric Boat. We are just as proud of our inputs into the DIVI as we are into the Sub!

  1. There’s a robot in there.

An actual robotic arm, reaching into ultra-cold storage, finding your order, and handing it over. Vending machines usually just drop things. This one goes and gets it.

  2. It’s the only nominee that’s cool on purpose.

Everything else in this competition is cool as a compliment. The DIVI is cool as a specification.

  3. Sixty people in Deep River build these

Two hundred and fifty a year, for eighteen years

  4. A vote for the DIVI is a vote for a room full of people who’d be genuinely delighted about being DIVI-Cool

  5. You’ve probably already used one.

Ballparks, zoos, aquariums, water parks. If you’ve handed a kid a cup of Dippin’ Dots in the last decade, there’s a good chance a machine built in Connecticut handed it to you first.

  6. It’s the happiest machine in the bracket.

Most of what Connecticut manufactures is serious. This one exists purely to give somebody ice cream.

Who can vote for the DIVI as the coolest thing made in Connecticut?

  1. You can VOTE for the DIVI EVERY DAY! That’s right – every person can vote every day.
  2. Each person can vote twice! … Once a day on their phone, and once a day on their computer or tablet.
  3. You don’t have to live in CT to vote, your family can vote (including Grandma in Florida and Great Aunt Agatha in Louisianna,) and your friends can vote. Don’t forget to ask the UPS and the USPS, Door Dash and Amazon drivers to vote for DIVI-Cool.
  4. Most importantly … HAVE SOME FUN!
