Chapco Bridge St. Grand Opening Look Back

Deep River, CT - June 11, 2026

DEEP RIVER, Conn., June 11, 2026: Chapco Inc., a precision sheet metal fabrication and contract manufacturing company, opened the Chapco Advanced Manufacturing Center at 12 Bridge Street on June 11. A ribbon cutting at 11:30 a.m. drew roughly 190 guests, including Connecticut's Chief Manufacturing Officer, Kirti Patel; John Bordeaux, President and CEO of AdvanceCT, Johanna Bond, President & CEO at Middlesex County Chamber of Commerce, and leaders from ManufactureCT, Connecticut Business and Industry Association (CBIA), the Connecticut Center for Advanced Technology (CCAT), and the Connecticut Naval and Maritime Consortium.

"So first of all, I really want to thank everybody for being here. This support is frankly humbling, and I'm just really, really excited. I think we expected 60 or 70 people and we ended up with two or three times that, so this is awesome. And seeing this room filled with customers, vendors, partners, employees, friends, families, and members of the community really means a tremendous amount to all of us here at CHAPCO."

The start of a new Chapter

In his welcome, and thanks to visitors, Brian talked about Chapco’s evolution from a small machine shop in Chester to the high performance manufacturer that Chapco is now; serving national and international customers across the defense, OEM, big data, and medical devices industries. The journey from a small building at Denlar Dr. to the state of the art manufacturing facility being opened today at Bridge St. And his own journey into the business and building on father, Bob Weinstein’s, legacy.

"Chapco represents what is best in manufacturing in Connecticut; innovation, growth, and of course workforce development ... we are so proud of what you have done here."

"More people are more interested in manufacturing; certain jobs are never going to be outsourced by AI."

"What we see here is an absolutely extraordinary example of what Connecticut has on offer, not just to our community, but to the world ... in Connecticut, if it is next to impossible, if it requires several patents, if it potentially violates a law of physics, that's right for Connecticut.

"Your investment reflects your confidence in closing new business and in your team, but it also reflects the confidence in the future of manufacturing in Connecticut. Confidence in our workforce, in our talent pipeline, in technology, as well as our ability to compete globally."
