From our Deep River, Connecticut manufacturing facility, our automated work centers operate 24/7 to support high-volume production, tight tolerances, and consistent throughput for OEMs across the United States.

Automation is not an add-on, it is central to how we deliver predictable quality, reduced lead times, and scalable sheet metal fabrication performance.

At the same time, our automated systems are supported by skilled operators and experienced machinists who manage our CNC machining centers, lathes, and press brakes to ensure precise setup, process control, and consistent results. This combination of advanced automation and hands-on technical expertise allows us to maintain tight tolerances, optimize throughput, and deliver reliable production performance across complex manufacturing programs.

High-speed TRUMPF TruLaser 3030 Fiber cutting delivers tight tolerances, clean edges, and repeatable precision across low- and high-volume sheet metal production runs.

Trumpf 6000 Fiber Laser Punch Combo

Chapco provides high-speed fiber laser sheet metal cutting services using the TRUMPF TruDisk 3001, 300-watt fiber laser system, delivering precision sheet metal laser cutting at speeds up to 1,338 inches per minute. This advanced CNC laser cutting system processes multiple materials and thicknesses without tooling change downtime, making it ideal for high-volume sheet metal fabrication programs.

Our sheet metal laser cutting capabilities include:

  • Material thicknesses up to 0.250″
  • Sheet blanks up to 60″ x 120″
  • Automated sheet master for material loading, part removal, web removal, stacking, and multi-part sorting
  • Integrated part chute for small component removal and sorting
  • The 6000 can also form complex features including:

    • Knock-outs and extrusions
    • Integrated hinges and formed flanges
    • 4″ louvers
    • Half shears
    • Beading and tapping
    • Countersinking (CSK) and counterboring (C-Bore)
    • Engraving and roll forming

 

The fiber laser platform is significantly more power-efficient than traditional CO₂ laser cutting systems, producing cleaner edges, reduced heat-affected zones, and superior cut quality for precision metal components.

As a fully integrated laser punch combination system, the TRUMPF Trumatic includes a 20-ton CNC punch and forming unit capable of up to 900 strokes per minute. This enables simultaneous CNC punching and sheet metal forming services with deburring and scratch-free processing.
